Join us at our very first virtual lunch and learn on August 12, where you will hear firsthand how your support is creating a world of opportunities for kids with disabilities. 

At this virtual event, Sandra Hawken, President & CEO of Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation, will discuss our latest Impact Report and highlight some of our incredible donor supported achievements over the past year. 

 You'll hear from Dr. Elaine Biddiss about Botley’s Bootle Blast, an innovative and fun mixed-reality immersive video game that helps children achieve their upper body physiotherapy and occupational goals 

Daniel Scott will then talk about the Sibkit, an important resource for siblings of children who experience brain injury. 

A short Q & A will follow where you’ll get a chance to ask a question. 

This virtual event will be held via Zoom and Facebook Live. Zoom invite details will be sent to those who have RSVP’d.

Sandra Hawken

Sandra Hawken joined Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation as President and CEO in 2015. Prior to joining Holland Bloorview Foundation, Sandra held senior management roles at Canadian Women’s Foundation, Royal LePage Shelter Foundation, Assaulted Women’s Helpline and Interval House. In her 20-year career, she’s re-engineered operations and inspired high-performing staff teams with innovation mandates to launch record-breaking fundraising, brand-building and engagement campaigns.

Dr. Elaine Biddiss, MASc, PhD

Elaine

Dr. Elaine Biddiss is a Senior Scientist and Director of Holland Bloorview’s PEARL lab. She designs innovative technologies that create possibilities for young people with disabilities to participate more enjoyably and effectively in arts, music, physical activities and therapies.


 

Daniel Scott 

Daniel

Daniel Scott is an early childhood educator who coordinates Holland Bloorview’s Ronald McDonald playroom, as well as the hospital children’s advisory group. Daniel’s older sister developed epilepsy as a teenager he used his experience as her brother to consult on SibKit.
