Holland Bloorview’s clinical seating service provides assessment and education to children who use specialized seating, positioning or mobility equipment.
Therapists complete a comprehensive assessment and work with both inpatient and outpatient clients and their families to find the best solution for their needs.
Equipment solutions can include manual or power wheelchairs, pressure relief cushions and custom seating. The team works with third party equipment vendors and provides support accessing financial funding.
A plan for follow-up appointments is developed to ensure the comfort of new equipment and to support changing needs.
