Yes. The library serves and lends books to our clients, clinicians, researchers, students and families. Please register at the check-out desk to obtain a library card.
The library offers health sciences books and videos on the topics of pediatric rehabilitation and pediatric disability health, including child development, spina bifida, nutrition, neuromuscular disorders, brain injury, cleft palate, cerebral palsy, genetic and autistic disorders. We also lend the Bootle Blast device, a movement tracking video game created by our research institute. Our library has also a specialized collection for children and teens.
You can borrow and enjoy your books for three weeks, with three renewals allowed. The Bootle Blast devices are lent out for a maximum of eight weeks.

Yes, we offer free photocopying, scanning and printing services. We also offer faxing for nominal fees depending on whether it is a local or long-distance call.
Definitely. The Family Resource Center provides a breastfeeding space for our staff and clients. Please ask our staff and we direct you to the space.

Absolutely, we have three computer stations available for the public, and we also have headphones available on hand.
Absolutely. Library staff are available to help families find reliable, high-quality information about their child’s medical condition, including books, articles, and online resources. Simply contact the library to request a personalized reference consultation or literature search. While most of our resources are available to families free-of-cost, a fee of $2 is charged for full-text articles. This cost covers the service and licensing fees from publishers. It is encouraged to share and discuss your research results with your child’s health care team.
Yes. Families, staff, and visitors are welcome to breastfeed, chestfeed and/or express milk any time and anywhere while onsite. Those who prefer a semi-private, quieter space are welcome to use our designated breast/chestfeeding space in the Grocery Foundation Resource Centre.
