Standards of Care & Associated Documents

A Holland Bloorview clinical interprofessional working group developed these Standards of Care for health care professionals working with this population. A standard of care is developed for high volume, high risk or problem prone practices as well as for clinical areas that do not have adequate guidance from other standards. Standards set the minimum expectations for client care delivery, provide clear direction to clinicians, are a written measurable performance expectation which must be met 100% of the time, outline responsibilities for which clinicians are accountable, and reflect the core set of values about professional practice. Standards of Care are reviewed internally every 2 years.
