The Complex Continuing Care unit serves children and youth from birth to age 18 with complex medical needs or who have multi-system diseases.
The children and youth on this unit require frequent and ongoing specialized assessment and intervention.
The complex continuing care team serves to facilitate discharge to the community. An interdisciplinary team provides collaborative assessment and intervention for children and adolescents by facilitating habilitation/rehabilitation to assist with reintegration into the family, school and communityClients in this service have multi-system disease and/or compromised respiratory systems that require frequent and ongoing specialized assessment and intervention. Clients may require a range of therapy services to meet their habilitation needs.
