EPIC Lab | Mission

The mission of EPIC Lab is two-fold: (1) To better understand and learn from experiences of disability, and (2) To advance more inclusive communities for children and youth with disabilities and their families. We pursue this mission through research that investigates everyday experiences of disability, unpacks ableist assumptions and practices, and seeks to advance designs and practices that enhance inclusion. Our overarching goal is to ensure that children and youth with disabilities, along with their families, can access and feel welcome throughout their communities.
