“Neelam is an absolutely vital part of our Psychopharmacology clinic - without her support and expertise it will be impossible to provide the kind of efficient and tailored care that we are able to provide. She embodies the Holland Bloorview values of "care that is agile" and "care that is socially accountable." Neelam is an expert in obtaining clinically- and psychosocially-relevant information from families who are often in highly complex circumstances. She goes above and beyond to meet families at their level and support them and their child in accessing timely care”

“One of Wintana's most commendable qualities is her remarkable ability to collaborate effectively within the healthcare team. She is a true team player who is always willing to lend a helping hand to her colleagues, whether it be assisting a family in need, supporting fellow clinicians, or offering guidance to other nurses. Her willingness to share her knowledge and expertise has greatly contributed to the success of our unit and has fostered a sense of camaraderie among team members…Wintana is a shining example of what it means to be a compassionate, dedicated, and skilled nurse.”

The Daisy award winners are nominated by their colleagues, students, volunteers and/or by clients and families.

A DAISY Award recipient is a nurse who clearly understands our vision of the most meaningful and healthy future for all children, youth and families. Their clinical skills, and their ability to deliver exceptional child and family-centred care, exemplify the kind of nurses our clients, families, and staff recognize as an outstanding role model and leader.  Furthermore, they embody the Holland Bloorview values of compassion, equity, courage and resilience, excellence and innovation.
