At the TRAIL lab, there is always more work to be done and we are seeking individuals in the following areas.

Current Opportunities


Graduate Students

We are accepting applications from motivated MSc and PhD students (through the Rehabilitation Sciences Institute, University of Toronto) for September 2023. Proposed research must align with the mission of the TRAIL lab.

Volunteer Opportunities

We accept a limited number of committed undergraduate volunteers with a health or social science background who have experience or interest in disability, rehabilitation and social inclusion. Preference will be given to those who have taken a research methods course and have completed their TCPS2 training. Please note: these opportunities are only during daytime hours on weekdays. 

Note: We're currently at capacity and are not accepting volunteers at this time. 


Post-doctoral fellowships

We are looking for a post-doctoral fellow to work on the following:

  • creative ways to improve the inclusion of young people with disabilities in the workforce
  • to explore ableism the intersection of race, gender and disability among youth with disabilities 

Post-doctoral fellows are expected to apply for external funding (e.g., SSHRC, CIHR) in advance of starting the first year of their fellowship. We will provide support to qualified applicants in preparing funding applications.
