The Bloorview Research Institute was established in 2004 and is dedicated to improving the lives of children with disabilities through client and family-centred rehabilitation research.
Dr. Fischer completed her MD at the University of Toronto followed by her pediatric residency at the University of Calgary. She returned to Toronto to complete her fellowship in developmental pediatrics at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital and the University of Toronto. Prior to medicine, Dr. Fischer completed a masters in occupational therapy which sparked her interested in working with children with disabilities.

Dr. Cecilia Lee is a Developmental Paediatrician at Holland Bloorview and an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto. She completed her medical degree and Paediatrics residency training at the University of Alberta and her subspecialty residency in Developmental Paediatrics at the University of Toronto. She also completed a Master of Science degree through the Institute of Medical Science at the University of Toronto.
