Dr. Suzan Schneeweiss

Professor of Paediatrics and Associate Dean Continuing Professional Development (CPD), Temerty Faculty of Medicine, U of Toronto

Dr. Schneeweiss is a Professor of Paediatrics and Associate Dean Continuing Professional Development (CPD), Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto. As Associate Dean of CPD, she promotes the academic mission of the largest CPD office in Canada. She is a staff physician and Director of Education for the Division of Paediatric Emergency Medicine at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. Dr. Schneeweiss is a alumnus of the University of Toronto, Temerty Faculty of Medicine and holds a Masters of Health Professional Education degree from the Ontario Institute of Studies in Education, University of Toronto. 

Throughout her career, she has dedicated herself to advancing CPD and held a variety of positions to further this mission. This includes serving as the CPD Academic Director the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto and as Director for Continuing Education for the Department of Paediatrics at SickKids. Additionally, she spent six years as a CPD educator for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, where she focused on supporting the maintenance of certification program and lifelong learning. Currently, she serves as the Vice President for the Society of Academic Continuing Medical Education. As an academic program director and conference chair for various CPD programs and conferences, she has gained extensive experience in program development and teaching. She remains actively engaged with a diverse array of organizations at the local, national, and international levels to support CPD and build capacity for the next generation of CPD leaders.
