Graduate scholarships for students with disabilities

A wonderful initiative courtesy of TD Bank and Toronto Rehab helps leverage some of the financial barriers that students with disabilities often face.

Graduate students with a disability often encounter financial barriers due in part to the high cost of adaptive technology that is needed to enable their studies. To help remove some of these barriers, TD Bank has been funding scholarships at Toronto Rehab since 2005, and this year, they’ve renewed their commitment with a new $1-million investment.

The generous support allows Toronto Rehab to offer scholarships of up to $20,000 to graduate students with disabilities. An individual supplement for educational expenses that are incurred as a result of the student’s disability is also available.

If you are or know of a student or trainee who is interested in this opportunity, please visit Scholarships for Students with Disabilities for details and application form. Application deadline is June 30, 2017.

To apply, applicants must have a disability, plan to be enrolled in a rehabilitation-related graduate program leading to a masters or doctoral degree, and be pursuing a field of study related to rehabilitation.
