The Integrated Education and Therapy Program (IET) at Bloorview School is a full day, interdisciplinary early intervention program for children who have a primary diagnosis of a physical disability and other associated complex needs. The academic programming, based on the Ontario curriculum, focuses on the acquisition of early literacy and numeracy skills. Physical, occupational and speech therapies are integrated into the child’s day as part of the educational programming with the goal of developing functional school-based skills that promote participation, independence and engagement in the classroom.
Children who are receiving therapy services through Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital or the Children’s Treatment Network can be referred to the IET program, and busing is provided. Please refer to the Bloorview School Authority website for further details.
