Jean Lam
Jean Lam has strong Board governance experience as a volunteer, deep understanding of public policy and government relations, and extensive senior management experience as a change agent and in managing complexity.
Her work in the Ontario Public Service over 35 years spanned several Ministries including: Energy, Consumer and Commercial Relations; Economic Development, Trade and Tourism. She was Assistant Deputy Minister for the Ministry of Health Promotion and Sport.
Her volunteer roles include Board experience on the Ontario Realty Corporation, Tourism Toronto, the Canadian Red Cross, and the United Way of Toronto. She has been awarded the Order of the Red Cross, the Queen’s Jubilee Award and the Amethyst Award for Excellence in Public Service in 2010.
Jean has a Bachelor of Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo and other programs from the University of New Brunswick and Queen’s University Program for Public Sector Executives.
Jean was the Secretary of Holland Bloorview’s Board of Directors. She also chaired their Governance Committee and was cross-appointed to the Foundation’s Board.
