Education & Training
Jason completed his Bachelor of Applied Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Waterloo in 2019. During his undergraduate studies, Jason learned a lot about the biomedical field through his co-op experiences as a research assistant and as a software engineer. Some projects that he worked on include: a processing suite for fMRI BOLD data, a module for reconstructing spinal cord tracts from DTI, and a neural network for segmenting vertebral bodies in CT images. Jason's current research is focused on brain-computer interfaces. Specifically, he is interested in investigating how EEG source imaging can be used to improve brain-computer interfaces for children with brain lesions.
Jason loves playing the piano and exploring different types of music. In his free time, he also enjoys playing badminton, watching movies, and sampling different cuisines!
