Andrea Lamont

Andrea Lamont, MSC, RP, MTA, works as the music therapy lead, clinical education liaison, and contributor/content expert to various interdisciplinary research projects at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. Andrea also teaches and provides clinical supervision for the music therapy program at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo. In 2017, Andrea was awarded the Meritorious Service Cross (Civil Division) as part of the Holland Bloorview team that created the Virtual Music Instrument in 2017 and in 2018 Andrea received an award for clinical excellence from the Teaching and Learning Institute at Holland Bloorview. In 2020, Andrea co-created a student-led learning environment opportunity through Holland Bloorview’s Teaching and Learning Institute in response to the impact of the pandemic; delivering a virtual clinical music therapy and music psychotherapy services for parents and caregivers of children with special needs served by Holland Bloorview in partnership with Wilfrid Laurier University’s music therapy program.
