Dr. Joelene Huber is a developmental paediatrician and the Medical Lead of the ABILITY Program at the Hospital for Sick Children. The ABILITY program aims to adapt and improve health care delivery for children and youth with autism spectrum disorder and/or Intellectual/Developmental Disability who require medical care at the Hospital for Sick Children.
Dr. Peltekova is a developmental pediatrician and a clinical study investigator at the Bloorview Research Institute. She provides care to children and youth with diverse neurodevelopmental conditions through her work in the autism diagnostic clinic, the psychopharmacology clinic and the extensive needs service at Holland Bloorview.
Miriam Maarse is passionate about providing care to patients with neurodevelopmental conditions. She works as an in-patient physician on the ABILITY team at Sick Kids, providing in-hospital developmental support and consultation for neurodiverse youth and their families, as part of a multidisciplinary team. Dr. Rhea D’Costa is a Developmental Paediatrician working in Holland Bloorview’s Child Development program. She completed her undergraduate and medical training at McMaster University, followed by Paediatrics residency training at Queen’s University and a fellowship in Developmental Paediatrics at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Rageen Rajendram is a Developmental Paediatrician at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital (HBKRH), with a medical degree from the University of Toronto. His interests lie at the intersection of developmental disorders, clinical informatics, and artificial intelligence (AI), aiming to improve care delivery for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Dr. Fischer completed her MD at the University of Toronto followed by her pediatric residency at the University of Calgary. She returned to Toronto to complete her fellowship in developmental pediatrics at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital and the University of Toronto. Prior to medicine, Dr. Fischer completed a masters in occupational therapy which sparked her interested in working with children with disabilities.
Dr. Shannon Knights received her Doctor of Medicine from Queen’s University and completed her postgraduate medical education at the University of Toronto, including subspecialty training in Developmental Paediatrics. Dr. Knights works as a Developmental Paediatrician at Grandview Children’s Centre. Her clinical practice involves caring for children with a range of neurodevelopmental conditions, including autism spectrum disorder, global developmental delay, and cerebral palsy.
