Rhandi Christensen, MD, PhD, FRCPC

Paediatric Neurologist 
Assistant Professor, University of Toronto


 

Dr. Rhandi Christensen is a Staff Pediatric Neurologist at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital and an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto. She completed medical school at the University of Toronto. She then completed Pediatric Neurology Residency and a Clinical and Research Fellowship in Neonatal Neurology at the University of Toronto and SickKids. Prior to her medical training, she completed a PhD in Neuroscience at McMaster University. Dr. Christensen has a Neuromotor Clinic and a Rett Syndrome Clinic at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. 

Dr. Christensen’s research is focused on studying neurodevelopmental outcomes in children born preterm or with neonatal brain injury. More specifically, she aims to identify biological (genetic and epigenetic) predictors of cognitive, language and motor outcomes. She seeks to integrate genetic and epigenetic risk with established clinical and environmental predictors to provide individualized neuroprognostication and targeted clinical care for infants born preterm or with brain injury.
