R. Matthew Lauer is a Portfolio Manager with Lauer Private Wealth at RBC, serving as the investment office for a select group of institutions and families. His practice is centered on multi-asset portfolio management, estate structuring, and intergenerational wealth architecture.

Matthew holds the Chartered Investment Manager designation and an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University, where he served as a Don and Vice President for Residence Life.

Beyond his professional practice, Matthew is dedicated to philanthropy. He serves on the Fundraising Committee of Capitalize for Kids, a charity that raises over $3 million annually to address the highest-priority needs in children’s brain and mental health.

His commitment to supporting families, service providers, and children facing challenges extends to his role on the Advisory Board of Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation, where he contributes strategic guidance to improve patient outcomes. 

Recognizing that many of these causes often go unnoticed—until they are needed—Matthew is honored to play a role in advancing world-class care and awareness.
