Ready. Set. Dare!

Ready. Set. Dare! is an accessible peer-to-peer fundraiser that anybody can sign up and take part in. All you need to do is decide on a dare, sign up, and ask friends and family to help you reach your fundraising goal. You also get to decide at what point you will do your dare.

It’s up to you! Your dare. Your way.

Every dollar you raise will be matched 3X by The Slaight Family Foundation and Holland Bloorview's Board of Directors.

You're helping shape the future of healthcare for kids with disabilities.

8-Week Mindfulness Course for Parent/Caregivers: Working with Difficult Emotions Through Mindfulness with Family Leader Protibha Gupta

Parent Support Network and Family Leader Protibha Gupta present - Working with Difficult Emotions Through Mindfulness - an 8-week virtual mindfulness course for parents and caregivers of children with disabilities.

This virtual program will run every Thursday from 12pm-1:15pm from Thursday September 18th, 2025 to Thursday November 6th, 2025. Those who may need to leave at 1pm are welcome to do so.

Alongside a short but complete discussion and practice of the foundations of mindfulness, participants will learn to cultivate ways to deal mindfully with difficult habit patterns, emotions and beliefs, areas of experience where we often find ourselves stuck, and practices geared towards enhancing self-compassion. Some of the difficult emotions we will discuss working with include anxiety/stress, grief, anger, fear and irritation.

No prior meditation practice experience is necessary but the course is also geared to those with meditation experience. Each hour-long session will include short talks, guided meditations, small group discussions and Q&A.

Attendees will learn:

- How to meditate through guided meditations

- The foundations of mindfulness of breath/body, feelings and thoughts

- Daily mini-mindfulness and self-compassion practices

- How to gain insight into and soften long-standing habit patterns, difficult emotions and beliefs.
