Polygon Interviews Dr. Elaine Biddiss about Virtual Gaming for kids with CP
Polygon, a video gaming website, interviewed Dr. Elaine Biddiss about her work with Virtual Gaming therapy for kids with cerebral palsy.
Dr. Biddiss and her team explain that kids with cerebral palsy typically have difficulty extending their wrists, elbows or shoulders, and have to undergo therapy that includes repetitive motions. To make those activities more engaging, her team has integrated the Microsoft Kinect sensor and built games that incentivize kids to perform the necessary exercises.
