New care pathway gives health-care providers practical recommendations on management options to support patient care
The American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine has published clinical practice guidelines on pharmacological and neurosurgical interventions for cerebral palsy and dystonia.
“I’m pleased to be a part of an international team of experts in dystonia management who worked in partnership with individuals living with cerebral palsy and dystonia to evaluate the evidence and come up with practical recommendations on management options,” says Dr. Darcy Fehlings, senior clinician scientist and the guideline’s lead author. “This guideline will help health-care providers make more informed recommendations to support patient care.”
The guideline, Cerebral Palsy and Dystonia Care Pathway – Clinical Practice Guideline, can be found on the academy’s website.
