On February 2, 2026, Bruce Squires begins his tenure as Holland Bloorview’s next president and CEO.

With more than 30 years of  experience, Bruce is widely regarded as a nationally respected and accomplished senior health-care executive. Known for his visionary and transformational leadership, Bruce brings a rare combination of experience and accomplishment across a wide breadth of  roles in the health-care sector.

His extensive experience and proven track record in advancing pediatric care make him the ideal leader to build on our legacy of excellence. We look forward to working with Bruce as we continue to set bold goals and deliver meaningful impact for children, youth and families.” 

For the past six years, Bruce has served as president of McMaster Children’s Hospital and vice president, Women’s & Children’s Health at Hamilton Health Sciences. Prior to that, he spent six years as vice president of people, strategy & performance at CHEO in Ottawa, overseeing quality, safety, strategy and people. Bruce has played a pivotal role in supporting these organizations to achieve internationally recognized levels of excellence.
