Toronto (October 1, 2014) - Holland Bloorview celebrates World Cerebral Palsy Day with the CP-NET Science & Family Day, a day of learning about the cutting edge CP research, technology advancements and community resources.
Led by Dr. Darcy Fehlings and her team in the CP Discovery Lab in the Bloorview Research Institute, the packed day was attended by clients and families, clinicians and policymakers. Content included a research update and panel discussion on stem cell research, a keynote talk by the Honourable Tracy MacCharles, Minister of Children & Youth Services, and entertainment by Jeff Poolton, singer, songwriter and disability advocate.
The scientific portion of the day was followed by an Open House and World CP Day celebration, connecting clients and families with community resources.
