On Tuesday, July 25, Dr. Anne Hunt, clinical study investigator who runs the Holland Bloorview Concussion Centre’s On TRACK Health Professional Student Training and Intervention Research Program was recognized with a Recognition Award for Clinical Excellence from the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto. Dr. Hunt was recognized with a similar award in 2017.
The award acknowledges individuals who have provided exceptional learning environments, guidance, and supervision; and are an inspiration to their students. As an assistant professor in the Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy at the University of Toronto, Dr. Hunt has supervised, mentored, and motivated dozens of health profession students in the fields of physical therapy, occupational therapy, kinesiology, and social work. Holland Bloorview’s On TRACK – a program that trains the next generation of pediatric concussion experts – is a student-led concussion program that gives health care students the chance to learn about paediatric concussion management, give Concussion & You education sessions to families, support community outreach and advocacy programs, and help plan and conduct research studies that focus on paediatric concussion.
