Dr. Amber Makino has been a staff Developmental Paediatrician at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital in Toronto since 2017, after completing her Paediatric Residency and Developmental Paediatrics Fellowship at the University of Toronto. Her academic interests are in the areas of quality improvement (QI) and medical education.
Dr. Angela Orsino is a developmental pediatrician in the Child Development Program who has a strong interest in medical education. She completed the Education Scholars Program through the U of T Centre for Faculty Development in 2016 and has participated in various educational leadership roles since then. Since 2021, she has been the program director for the U of T Developmental Pediatrics subspecialty/fellowship program.
Dr. Rageen Rajendram is a Developmental Paediatrician at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital (HBKRH), with a medical degree from the University of Toronto. His interests lie at the intersection of developmental disorders, clinical informatics, and artificial intelligence (AI), aiming to improve care delivery for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Dr. Shawn has been practicing since July 1981 to present. Dr. Shawn is on Staff at The Hospital for Sick Children (HSC), an Assistant Professor at U of T, and a member of the Division of Community Developmental Paediatrics (Courtesy), and Honorary Staff for Paediatric Medicine.
Dr. Shawn’s area of clinical interest is Developmental and Behavioral Paediatrics.
Dr. Jessica Lynch completed her Medical School at the University of Toronto (U of T) and her Paediatrics residency at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario at the University of Ottawa. She returned to Toronto to complete her subspecialty residency in Developmental Paediatrics and graduated in 2019. Dr. Lynch is currently a Developmental Paediatrician in the Child Development Program at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital.
Dr. Peltekova is a developmental pediatrician and a clinical study investigator at the Bloorview Research Institute. She provides care to children and youth with diverse neurodevelopmental conditions through her work in the autism diagnostic clinic, the psychopharmacology clinic and the extensive needs service at Holland Bloorview.
Dr. Carolyn Hunt has been a Developmental Paediatrician for over 20 years. She completed medical training at McMaster and Western and then a fellowship in Developmental Paediatrics at the University of Toronto. She started her career at HBKR and then moved to Grandview Children’s Centre in the heart of Durham Region where she has been the Medical Director since 2008.
Dr. Shannon Knights received her Doctor of Medicine from Queen’s University and completed her postgraduate medical education at the University of Toronto, including subspecialty training in Developmental Paediatrics. Dr. Knights works as a Developmental Paediatrician at Grandview Children’s Centre. Her clinical practice involves caring for children with a range of neurodevelopmental conditions, including autism spectrum disorder, global developmental delay, and cerebral palsy.
Dr. Jennifer Das completed her undergraduate degrees in both Biology and Psychology at The Pennsylvania State University and her medical degree at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. She returned home to Canada for her Paediatrics training through the University of Toronto at The Hospital for Sick Children and went on to complete her developmental Paediatrics fellowship at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital.
