A research study that explores the impacts and experiences of away-from-home toileting on children and youth with disabilities.
Summary
This study aims to collect data that describes the toileting experiences and needs of disabled children and families in public toileting facilities. These findings will help improve public toileting spaces so that children and youth with disabilities can be toileted more safely, comfortably, and independently.

Who can participate
Children and youth who:
- Are between the ages of 5-18
- Experience difficulties with toileting in public facilities
- Are able to communicate in English

What's involved
You will take part in a one-time session. You have the option to participate at Holland Bloorview, over Zoom, or at your home, where we’ll collect information about your toileting needs. You’ll complete one short questionnaire and participate in an interview about your away-from-home toileting experiences. Your participation will take about 75 minutes.
