Throughout her 30-year career at EY, Sonya has addressed the evolving needs of clients, for many years as an audit partner, and as the audit leader for Canada. She has a comprehensive understanding of leading audit and professional services for a diverse portfolio of publicly listed companies and private clients with global operations. She has also had the opportunity to serve as the lead audit partner for clients in the healthcare sector.

As chief operating officer at EY Canada, she is focused on driving financial strategy and long-term operational growth across diverse service lines, functions, and geographies. Her portfolio includes AI enablement, risk management and ethics, real estate and ESG priorities, finance, and transformation of our internal operations functions to support sustainable growth.
