Research

Research Focus:

Dr. Vandewouw's research program advances precision health for neurodivergent children and youth by integrating multimodal data – neuroimaging, genomics, and clinical measures – with cutting-edge data science. This approach addresses a central challenge in the field: broad diagnostic labels and traditional case-control designs struggle to capture the substantial variability and overlap in neurobiology, genetics, and phenotype across neurodevelopmental conditions. Her work identifies predictive biomarkers across these modalities, defines biologically informed subgroups that transcend diagnostic categories, and translates these insights into personalized, biologically informed interventions.
