Engagement of Children with Disabilities in Rehabilitation Services: PRIME-C Pilot Use
Summary
Our team wants to explore children’s perceptions and experience of using an engagement measure for children, called the Pediatric Rehabilitation Intervention Measure of Engagement for Children or shortly PRIME-C. We specifically want to explore the ease of use, interactions with the measure, influence of the environmental factors and satisfaction with the measure.

Do you have a developmental disability, are between 8 and 18 years old and receive rehabilitation service at Holland Bloorview, Grandview Kids, KidsAbility Centre for Child Development or Thames Valley Children’s Centre (TVCC)? Consider participating in a research study looking at how child engagement in therapy can be measured using a new tool, called PRIME-C.
Who can participate
Children with a developmental disability (8-18 years) who are current clients of Holland Bloorview, Grandview Kids, KidsAbility Centre for Child Development or TVCC, have an established communication modality (e.g., speech, writing, sign language, AAC), and are proficient in English.

What's involved
You will be asked to think of a recent therapy session you had and provide responses on PRIME-C based on your therapy experience. After you fill it out, we will ask you a few additional questions about your opinion about PRIME-C in an interview. The expected study involvement is a one-time visit for around one hour.
