Alexa started in the NOvEL Lab as a Research Assistant in October 2023. She has an MSc in Community Health and Epidemiology and a BSc in Neuroscience from Dalhousie University. She is interested in determinants of health and understanding how they influence health outcomes. Alexa is currently working on the PeCANN studies in the lab and is excited to explore the associations between PPCS and mental health. Outside of work, Alexa is a sprint kayaker who competed with Team Canada for 12 years. In her spare time, you can find her on the water paddling and coaching, or hanging out with her friends, family, and dog.
