Sunaal Mathew, BSc
MSc Student at PEARL Lab
Sunaal is a Masters student at the University of Toronto and is pursuing research in developing virtual rehabilitation and assessment solutions with the PEARL Lab at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. He is supervised by Dr. Elaine Biddiss. Sunaal is interested in transforming rehabilitation to be more accessible and engaging using advancements in immersive virtual technologies, sensors, and machine learning.
Sunaal completed his undergraduate degree in Mechatronics Engineering at the University of Waterloo in 2017. Following his graduation from Waterloo, Sunaal was driven by his interest in wearable technology and spent 3 years as a Hardware Engineer in designing novel wearable sensors for startups in Waterloo and Toronto.
