R2Play: A simulated sports environment to support return-to-play decision-making following youth concussion


Summary

The research team at Holland Bloorview is developing a simulated environment system to help youth with concussion return to their sport life (return-to-play). The system, R2Play,  will be designed using your thoughts and feedback. This study involves participating in a one hour online interview session.

Call to action

We are looking for youth athletes and their guardians, sport coaches and clinicians to share their feedback on the design of the R2Play system.


Who can participate

  • Youth criteria include (1) a diagnosis of concussion (2) age in the range of 12-18 and (3) youth athletes who participate in junior sports. Guardian participants must be caregivers to children who experienced concussion. Clinicians and sport coaches must have experience working with youth aged 6-19. 

What's involved

  • Study participants will attend an interview session using the video conferencing platform Zoom.
