Rana received her Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering - Bioelectric from University of Tehran in 2017. She has worked on several projects in EEG and EMG signal processing. Her Bachelor’s thesis project was on designing a GUI to display and process fNIRS data. Rana also had a summer research experience in neuro-rehabilitation, the outcome of which was a partial design of a body weight support device for locomotor training. Rana is really interested in the integration of people with different backgrounds and expertise in PRISM Lab, and would like to continue her research on brain-computer interfaces by increasing her knowledge in human-computer interaction and machine learning.
Rana spends her free time listening to classical music and watching movies. She also loves playing the piano and learning different languages. She has two years of experience in self-defense. Rana is a real fan of travelling and exploring different places.
